Micro-chipping
We recommend that all cats and dogs (and other pets if you wish) are micro-chipped in order to provide them with a permanent identification. This not only gives them a method of secure individual identification but also gives them the best chance of being returned to you if they are lost or stolen.
Micro-chipping is easy.
A tiny microchip, approximately the size of a grain of rice, is inserted under your pets’ skin. This chip gives your pet its unique and permanent number. The number and owner details are then added to a national database, so if lost and found your pet can then be scanned, identified and returned to you. Collars and tags can be removed or damaged. The sad truth is that thousands of pets are lost each year, and without permanent identification many are never able to be returned to their owner.
